Overwatch is one of the best sniper rifles in the game, especially if your playstyle leans more towards stealth than head-on assault. Overwatch comes with a suppressor, an additional round in its magazine, and a 300% headshot damage multiplier, allowing you to silently one-shot enemies and before closing in on an enemy position and mopping up remaining foes with a suppressed pistol or throwing knives.
You receive Overwatch as a reward for helping Panam rescue Saul Bright, who is the leader of the Aldecaldos. A sniper rifle with devastating yet silent power is just the kind of gift you would expect from Panam and makes helping her recover Saul from the Wraiths in the side job “Riders on the Storm” well worth the effort. Getting Overwatch early in the game will make clearing out enemy hideouts and encampments much easier at higher difficulties when other stats are too low for a direct assault.

How to get Overwatch in Cyberpunk 2077
Sometime after completing the job “Life During Wartime”, Panam will contact you and ask you for help. Track the job side job “Riders on the Storm” and go to the Aldecaldos camp where Panam will tell you that Wraiths have captured Saul. Mitch will give you a shard that will give you a live feed from a camouflaged drone that he has circling over the abandoned building that the Wraiths are using as a base. After taking note of heavy vehicle tracks and enhanced fortifications, Panam will deduce that this is most likely where the Wraiths are holding Saul. You and Panam decide to infiltrate the Wraith camp and rescue Saul.
Once you get in the van with Panam and ride towards the Wraith’s camp, you will see a massive sandstorm approaching, hence the name of the mission, “Riders of the Storm”. Once at the camp, Panam will take an elevated position to cover you with Overwatch, as you begin to infiltrate the camp. Though Panam will insist that you take a stealthy approach, it is up to you if you want to sneak in and take out enemies quietly as you go, or fight them head-on. Whatever way you go about it, you must reach the building security office and locate Saul using the building’s cameras.
Once you see Saul in one of the camera feeds, his location will be updated on your map. You will then go to the lower levels and free Saul, after which you can leave the way you came in, or use a maintenance shaft to get out of the building which is the safer and quieter option.
Once outside, Panam will come to pick you and Saul up in the van. The sand storm will have hit by then so, after getting rid of any Wraiths chasing the van, Panam will stop at an abandoned farm where you will wait out the storm. You will have to restore power to the farm through the external panel, after which you will have a chat with Saul and Panam before you call it a day and go to sleep.
Wake up the next day, and you will talk to Panam outside. She will thank you for your help in rescuing Saul and you can pick the iconic sniper rifle Overwatch resting against a motorcycle as a reward.
Iconic Sniper Rifle Overwatch Stats
Overwatch is the iconic version of the Techtronika SPT32 Grad sniper rifle, given to Panam Palmer by Mitch Anderson at the start of the “Ghost Town” side job. Panam also uses the rifle to cover you in the main job “Life During Wartime” as you deal with Kang Tao Operatives near the downed AV to rescue Mitch, as well as near the gas station where you try to capture Hellman.
Panam asking is reason enough to dispatch dozens of Wraiths for most players, however, if that doesn’t compel you to do the heavy lifting, then the stats on Overwatch definitely will. The sniper rifle comes equipped with a suppressor that allows for silent kills from long range so you can dispatch entire groups without having to get close, and also has a a Militech HPO Kanone MAX Mk.77 Sniper Scope that cannot be removed.
