How to Move Your Base in Palworld – Best Method

Pack up, we're moving!

Having a good base in Palworld is one of the major deciding factors of your success and survival in Palworld. Ideally a fully functional base should be rich in resources, have ample flat ground and be safe from raiding invaders. Unfortunately most players would set down their first Palbox right after spawning without given the above factors much of a consideration. Palworld allows players to have up to 3 bases at max. Setting up your second and eventually third base at the perfect locations might fulfil your needs to some extent but you might still at some point want to move your base to a better location.

This begs the question, how do you move your base in Palworld? Unfortunately, there is no direct way to simply pick up your already established base and relocate it somewhere else. You would have to manually dismantle everything and build your new base from scratch.

Best way to move your base in Palworld

Even though it is not easy to move your base in Palworld but having a second base before you move your first base will make things a lot easier.

Moving your base if you have multiple bases

Step 1. Build a large Storage Container next the Palbox in the base you want to move. If you can’t build a large Storage Container, consider making Multiple Storage Chests.

Step 2. Dismantle everything in the base except the Palbox by going into the Build Mode and then disassembly Mode.

Step 3. Place all the materials and resources you collected from dismantling inside the storage container.

Step 4. Fast Travel to your second base and build another large storage container as close to the Palbox as you can.

Step 5. Make sure you have a Grappling Gun equipped. This is not necessary but will cut short the number of trips you have to make.

Step 6. Head back to the base you want to move and retrieve all the stored materials and resources from the storage container. If you get encumbered you can use the Grappling Gun to zip close the Palbox. Fast Travel back to the second base and place all the materials into the storage container there.

Step 7. Head back to the original base and disassemble the Palbox and the Storage container. Be sure that you keep all the materials from disassembling them in your inventory.

Step 8. Now it is time to look for a new place to set up your new base. Be sure to check out the best locations for a mining base or a home base on our page.

Step 9. Once you are at the location you have your mind set at, build a Palbox and a Storage container next to it using the materials in your inventory.

Step 10. Head back to the second base to retrieve the store items in the storage container and bring them back to your new base. Now you can start building your new base as you place with all the items and resources from your original base and put your Pals to work once again.

Moving your base if you have only one base

Moving your base if without having a second base can be a bit tougher but there is a work around it as well.

Step 1 – 3. Steps 1 through are the same as the previous section.

Step 4. Since you don’t have a second base to Fast travel to, look for a Fast Travel point as close as possible to the location you want to set your new base at.

Step 5. Builda large storage container near this fast travel Point. If you are playing in a public lobby, make sure to set a password so that the other players can’t steal your materials. We will be using this Fast Travel point as an intermediate pit stop to bring all our resources from one place to the other.

Step 6. Head back to your old base and dismantle it. Carry all the items and resources back to the said Fast Travel point and place them into the Storage Container.

Step 7. Build your Palbox at the location you want to set your new base at.

Step 8. Build another Storage Container close to the Palbox.

Step 9. Retrieve all your resources and materials from the container at the Intermediate Pit stop we mentioned and place them all into a storage box in your new base.

Step 10. Now you can start building your new base with all the materials and resources you had at your previous base.

We would like to mention that these are the only possible ways to move your base in Palworld as of now. However, the game is still in Early Access and can be subject to change with upcoming updates and patches. If the Devs decide to add a new feature to relocate your base, or even have a fourth base, we will be sure to update. Meanwhile you can bookmark this page or check out our other guides
