This guide will explain all the choices and their consequences in the Cyberpunk 2077 side job “I fought the Law” so that you can make a better decision.
Meet the Peralez
Once you get the call from Elizabeth Peralez, go to the location marked as “I fought the law” on your Cyberpunk map. There will be a car at the marked location. Sit inside and talk to the Peralez couple, Elizabeth, and her husband, Jefferson Peralez. They will express their doubts regarding the mayor’s death and give you a shard to get the clues. V will insert the shard into the braindance device and look for clues. Here is the list of clues you may find:
00:10 | Visual | Look for the man standing on the left side of the stage |
01:00 | Scan Cyberpsycho (Péter Horváth) crossing through security door
01:02 | Look at the CCTV screen
00:10 | Audio | Listen to two men talking in front of the stage |
01:03 | Listen to what Péter Horváth is humming |
Once done, exit the braindance and get out of the car. You can ask the Peralez about different clues before selecting to ask about the cop. They will tell you his name is River Ward and give you his contact.
Call him and he will ask you to meet him at the food place, Chubby Buffalo.
Start the investigation with River Ward
Once you meet with River Ward, he will lead you to his car as the diner is too loud. In the car, he tells you everything that is needed along with two possible leads. One is the CI and the other is the murderer’s boss. You can choose to go for either one.
Talk to the CI
If you choose to go to the CI, RIver will take you to a location called Max-imum Pleasure in Vista Del Rey. He will ask you to go inside and say “Igor says hi”. The CI, Neil, will sprint out To catch him, open the doors behind you, and you can only do this if you have Level 6 strength attribute. Go into the alley on the left to catch him. Even if you are late, River will catch him.
Interrogate him about the Red Queen’s Race Club. He will resist but after a few tries will spill that this club is located outside the city area near the river known as the Bonita Street area.
You can now go to the club or talk to the murderer’s employer.
Find Christine Markov
If you choose to meet Christine, Horváth’s employer, he will take you to Japantown. Here talk to vendors to find Christine’s booth. She will be on the left side, the third booth from your entrance. Talk to Christine and she will give you all the information she knows about Peter Horvath.
As you go back to Peter’s car, two Tyger Claw members will be there. You Can either let the cop handle the situation peacefully or butt in to cause some ruckus. If you choose to play the Street Kid path, you can deal with them much better. Deal with them either way and continue.
Enter the Club
River will now take you to Charter Hill to look for the Red Queen’s Race Club. As located on the marker, go towards the warehouse but you will be stopped by the security at the door. There are two ways you can infiltrate this area to reach the club.
Either brute force your way through the security guard and kill all the enemies that charge at you. Keep going until you see a large double door on the right side of the area. Open them to see stairs going down to the club.
Another way is to go around quietly towards the left side at the back and spot a green dumpster. There will be a door beside it that you can open if you have Level 6 technical attributes. If not, keep going left until you see some billboards. You’ll soon reach an opening with an Animal nearby. Kill him quietly and then continue forward up the stairs and into the double doors.
There is a lot of loot in the underground area so don’t forget to get all that before going to the club.
Search around the club
Once you are in the club, you’ll need to fight off more animal opponents. Defeat them all until you locate the boss. You can incapacitate him to give you more information. If you accidentally kill him, you can continue. Look for the office next.
Go upstairs and find a door on the right side leading to an office. It would be right beside a poster “Surprise them”. Check the monitor and look at the files present there. Checking all the files and messages is important to understand the case.
Once done, you can either stay to look for more items or leave the club.
Report all the findings to Peralez
After the club, River Ward will take you to Chubby Buffalo and talk to his fellow detective. He will ask him about his involvement in the case and then Detective Han will leave. Talk to River Ward finally and then call Elizabeth Peralez. She will ask you to meet her at her apartment in Charter Hill.
Once inside, talk to them and select “Got a decent picture of what went down” followed by “Holt’s behind it”. These options give the most conclusive information. If you don’t want to give them evidence, you can do so and they will still thank you for risking your life for their investigation. This will conclude the side job I Fought the Law in Cyberpunk 2077 now you will be rewarded 11580 Eurodollars.
