That is if you need a new mining base mining, it is important to pick a location with the highest quantity of naturally spawning ores which is probably the most important resource in the game. Secondly, it should be secure and raid-proof. This usually means someplace that provides enough natural barriers like a cliff or a mountain top.
Secondly, you need to consider the size of the flat area you will get by placing your Palbox there. Other things like scenery and aesthetics will also be taken into account but they are secondary. Best Locations for a Mining Base in Palworld
The most important resource in Palworld is Ore which you will need in spades to make ingots which are then used in crafting armor and weapons. Thus, we will be focusing on locations that have tons of naturally spawning ore to make the crafting easier. With that in mind, we have listed down the 5 best mining base locations in Palworld
5. Moonless Shore
Coordinates: -27, 168
This particular location has 8 nodes of naturally spawning ore, this means that your mining Pals can chip away all day at these ores and they will respawn the next in-game day. This location also provides a great natural barrier meaning you will not have to worry about getting raided and can devote most of your Pals to the Mining task. We recommend that you build a Berry Plantation and a hot spring to let your Pals recover their sanity. This is essential to keep them healthy and working at their maximum capacity.
This base location also has a skill tree nearby which is an added bonus. The only drawbacks for this location are the fact that it has a small and uneven area but it works just fine for a strictly mining base.
4. Windswept Hills
Coordinates: 157, -400
This base offers a decent number of resources and a natural barrier but has a small area. It has more ore than the Moonless Shore location and an even and flat area. Even though the scenery is not all that great but it is very functional as far as Mining bases go. It is also close to the starting area which makes it great for mining early to mid-game resources.
3. Verdant Brook South
Coordinates: 249. -91
This is the only location in Palworld with both ore and sulfur. Sulfur is needed for late-game items such as gunpowder for making ammo. This makes it one of the best mining base locations in the game. The only thing that holds back this location from the top 2 contenders is the fact that sulfur is relatively easier to mine in the volcanic regions of the map and the uneven and less-than-aesthetic area of this location.
2. Autumn Hillside
Coordinates: 10, -530
This area is one of the few prettier looking and rich in resources locations in Palworld. The area is even and flat and has 8 ore nodes that respawn after each in-game day. This is one of the best locations for a mining base in the game but you can also set it up as a production base. You can set up primitive furnaces to quickly turn ore into ingots and have a production assembly line to craft whatever you need.
This location is on a cliff edge which makes for a great natural barrier, just be sure to put up some defensive walls on the plain side of your base. This is close to the starting area making it an ideal location for a mid-game mining base.
1. Verdant Brook North
Coordinates: 191, -36
The best mining base location in Palworld is located north of the Verdant Brook just below the snowy mountains. This location will require you to put in some work but is well worth the effort.
This is the only location in Palworld with both Ore and coal in large quantities. Coal is needed for crafting refined Ingots which are used to make upgraded armor and weapons as well as Ultra Spheres.
Before you set down your Palbox here, be sure to chop down some of the trees in the center area and lay down a wooden foundation of at least 4×4 blocks. This will help you build out your base later and compensate for the uneven area. Once that is done, put some of your best mining Pals like Digtoise, Anubis, and Reptyro to work. Build some berry plantations and hot springs to keep your Pals healthy and assign relevant worker Pals to keep the base operational and you will never have to worry about Ingots or even refined Ingots ever again.
