Previously known as the Roundtable Hold, Fortified Manor is a castle in the Leyndell, Royal Capital region. This region contains some valuable loot along with little to no enemies. The Roundtable Hold that we access using the fast travel, is based on this manor. However, the location is sometimes hard to pinpoint so this guide will help you find the correct pathway to the Fortified Manor in Elden Ring.
How to reach the Fortified Manor in Elden Ring?
Requirements for Reaching Lyndell
Before having access to this location, you need to unlock the Leyndell, Royal Capital. This is done by getting any two great runes and activating them at the required location. Great rune is collected after defeating a Demigod in a boss fight. Fortunately, there are two easy bosses that give you the opportunity before this region; Godrick and Rennala.
Once done, you’ll find a Draconic Tree Sentinel guarding the gates to the Leyndell, Royal Capital region. Defeat him to enter the capital and explore further into the region.
How to reach the Fortified Manor in Lyndell?
Start from the Avenue Balcony site of grace and go down the steps through the door. Defeat the two guards outside and then look for the stone dragon. Climb up its wing until you locate a broken floor with a ladder. Drop down into the area and climb up this ladder. Processed straight ahead two more sets of stairs until you find yourself in a corridor. Here on the left side, you’ll find the West Capital Rampant site of grace.
If you are starting from the West Capital Rampant site of grace, head towards the west and jump down. Onto the lower floor or us the stairs. Interact with the lever to open the large door for easier access later on.
Once down, navigate around to find the base of the tree. Be careful as there are some dogs here. Just beside the tree, you’ll find some stables. Climb up their roof and enter the connected broken wall. This will take you to the Fortified Manor, Second Floor
What can be found in the Fortified Manor?
As soon as you enter through the broken wall, go straight ahead toward the next room and find two items by the left wall. These are a Sanctified Whetblade and a Hammer. In the next room on the left, there would be a By My Sword gesture and a Hero’s Rune[1] on the bed.
Go into the room opposite this and it will lead you to the Roundtable Hold. Jump on the table to obtain the Rune Arc. There is another room nearby that contains the Furlcalling Finger Remedy. Keep going straight ahead into the library to find the Seedbed Curse. Go back into the table room and look for the closed double doors. Open them to find the Coded Sword sitting on the throne.
Go out and turn around from where you found the hammer and go slightly down the stairs to get a Smithing Stone[6]. If you fall down these broken stairs, you can go into the hall to get the full Alberich’s armor set. Go into the room on the right of the armor set to find the Fortified Manor, First Floor Lost grace, and a Flightless Bird Painting. Next, go into the room on the left to find the Stormhawke Axe. Look behind the armory stand to find another Smothing Stone[5] on a corpse.
If you fall down and still want to explore the second floor of the Fortified manor, simply leave the hall which will take you outside. Now find the tables again and climb up to the second floor.
Bernahl; Volcano Manor questline
If you’ve already started the Volcano Manor questline and completed the Tanith’s contractual assassinations, you will encounter Bernahl in the Fortified Manor. Bernahl is an NPC that is previously found in Warmaster’s Shack in Limgrave selling Ashes of War.
To progress further in this storyline, encountering Bernahl is important and it can only occur if you’ve previously interacted with the red letter in Volcano Manor. Once you reach the hall in the Fortified Manor in Elden Ring, Bernahl’s summon sign will appear and you will assist him against two enemies in a 2-vs-2 battle. This battle happens at the location of the Alberich’s armor set.
